Melissa & Dave - Adventures at Sea

Dolphins!

As we were going through Tribune Channel near Thompson Sound, we found ourselves amidst a pod of dolphins.  There were dolphins as far as the eye could see.  There was a group of 8 or so of them that were going nuts jumping and playing together.  Not clear whether they were mating or maybe just youngsters playing.  But in any case it was incredibly entertaining.

We pulled into Lagoon Cove for the night.  The only spot they had remaining required us to back in around a 90 degree corner right next to shore so it was super tight.  With the wind on the stern.  Dave did it no sweat which impressed the boaters nearby.  But we wouldn’t be able to pull out of it in the morning at low tide, so we moved to the fuel dock for the night after the fuel dock closed.
