We spent the day on the bus going from Barra De Navidad to Guadalajara and then onto Guanajuato. All in all a 12 hour trek. The tourist busses here are pretty sweet though. Big cushy recliner chairs, individual TVs, and WiFi. So it wasn't too horrible getting here. The landscape is not as barren as we thought it would be. Much of the land is covered with what look to be relatively well kept farms and agave fields.
It was dark when we arrived, so we just headed off to bed at the hotel - El Meson de los Poetas. The hotel is a fun and funky place with corridors running all over the place. We have to go up, down, up, down, and up to get to our room on the third floor. We promptly discover that there is no water in the bathroom. So we call the front desk and they moved us to another room on the first floor. We had water there for a bit and then it was gone. Dave figured that the water was running out of the whole building and it was just the top floors that ran out first. Sure enough, by the next morning the water had returned.
