Melissa & Dave - Adventures at Sea

Slam, Slam, Slam

How is it that every time we are in Nanaimo that the wind is blowing 30 knots?  Last time we were here years ago, Dave had to park the boat on the dock in gale force winds.  Last night we got very little sleep due to the winds.  Note to self, next time don't park stern to the wind and wake from people going out past the break water.  All night the waves were slamming into the stern - slam, slam, slam.  We wanted to turn the boat around on the dock today, but alas the winds blew onto the dock all day making getting the boat off the dock difficult.  So tonight we decided to sleep in the forward bunk so that we wouldn't have to listen to the water slamming into the stern.  Lets hope the wind dies down tomorrow for our exit - otherwise getting off the dock will be tricky.
